As Otara’s personal CSR initiative, Embark began on March 2007 with aim of reducing animal cruelty and focusing on animal well being in the country. Embark, through strategic planning, has identified its goals to prevent cruelty and raise awareness for animal welfare issues. From the start of its project Embark has been involved in a range of efforts to achieve these goals, from sterilization surgeries and puppy re-homing campaigns, caring for injured stray animal and educating the public about the importance of animal welfare. Since its inception, Embark has changed the mentality and thinking patterns of the community, encouraging them to love community animals and to make a connection with them.
