SUNSILK Style International 2011 “Sunsilk Style International”, Sri Lanka’s foremost Hair and Beauty Festivalwas held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) recently. Sunsilk, in collaboration with the Professional Hairdressers’ and Beauticians’ Association (PHABA) was host the inaugural Sunsilk Style International, a hair, beauty and bridal extravaganza on the 18th , 19th & 20th March 2011.
A host of internationally renowned as well as locally reputed hair and beauty experts will be in attendance at this event, which is expected to draw a crowd of around 60,000 people, who, organizers believe, will gain a wealth of knowledge in these fields. Bridal dressing, novel hair styles, fantasy hair styles and nail art are some of the areas related to hair and beauty that will be covered during these three days. The latest international trends and techniques can be learned and experienced through the lectures and demonstrations conducted by the foreign experts who are being flown down especially for this event. Sunsilk, has always provided tremendous support for the advancement of the hair care industry in the country. Furthermore, Sunsilk has been able to provide valuable opportunities for talented individuals all over the country to develop their careers through the much acclaimed ‘Sunsilk Hadakari’ regional workshops. “PHABA Sri Lanka” was established in 2006, and has a membership of over 2000, making it the country’s leading Hair & Beauty association. This organization was responsible for organizing the first ever Hairdressing, Beauty & Bridal Show of international standard in this country that was witnessed by an audience exceeding 50,000. Over 200,000 people have also benefited from the many workshops at regional level organized for the first time by “PHABA Sri Lanka”.
