Fourth Challenge Digital Stories 2012 - Experience the Digitalization

Fourth Challenge Digital Stories has been end up with a colorful blast at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo on march 14, 2012. This event was organized by the Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC) to venture into a trend setting segment on Alcohol and Tobacco Use. The intention of having this competition was to get the youth in critically analyzing the hidden promotions and the hidden agendas of the tobacco and alcohol industries as expressed through the manipulative promotions in media. The event captured the attention of well-known Sri Lankan Stars of various fields. The event was a colourful and breathtaking entertainment inclusive of music accompanied by the awarding of certificates for the first 25 digital stories. Pathum Asanga were adjudged the winner of Digital Stories 2012 and won the first prize of two weeks in Sweden for a short film training.

“Digital Stories - Experience the Digitalization” is a collaborative project of ADIC, IOGT - NTO Movement, UNF and FAKEFREE to stimulate the learning of prevention through new innovative techniques. Basing the competition exclusively on digital stories would help us to bring high

Piumi Shanika Botheju's Wedding

An exclusive Wedding photo collection of Piumi Shanika Botheju captured by Janaka Kandanarachchi. Piumi Shanika Botheju who became a household name after ‘Paba’ mega tele drama. She was a winner of ලක් හඩ අවුරුදු කුමාරිය in 2001 and she starting her career as a trainee announcer at the Lakhanda Radio. Piyumi had received her primary education from Dharmapala Vidyalaya, Pannipitiya and had successfully completed her secondary education from Gothami Balika Vidyalaya, Colombo 10.
