Kushanee Sandarekha accomplished Songstress and a Dancing Queen

The daughter of singer Maya Damayanthi and musician Victor Vijayantha Perera, her toes had twirled and voice chords trilled, from the age of four. She is Kushanee Sandarekha who has put on the family hat of music and dance. Emerged as a singer like her parents. Kushanee turned her mother’s song “Kurullo” into a savvy modern performing act in her album "Rekha". Kushanee’s career is firmly grounded in qualifications of vocals, Kandyan, oriental and contemporary dance and even karate. Her "Black Red White" concert teamed up with Kasun Kalhara and Amal Perera was appreciated by masses. The three are among the cream of the new generation Sinhala artistes, continuing the singing traditions of their parents.
